Growing up in a musical family, she began writing folk music as a child before falling in love with and immersing herself in the world of jazz, training as a vocalist and performing in big bands and combos for over a decade. While she grew as a jazz singer, in the background, she still loved writing folk music and wanted to find a way to combine her two musical halves. Then came the banjo.

Surfing Stingrays is a psychedelic indie outfit from Amsterdam. They met each other in high school and quickly became best friends, mainly because of their mutual love and interest in psych and indie rock music.

Rumour Mill is an independent Canadian band headed by Aline Daigle (violin/vocals) and Anna Katarina (piano/vocals). Lifelong friends, the pair blended their classical jazz training with modern spirits to create an effervescent cocktail of indie-pop with strong twists of folk and country.
